Landlines is an installation exploring the mission and process of British Pasture Leather in the work of photographer Jason Lowe and the furniture designs of OTZI Studio.
Presented as part of the the London Design Festival in A Softer World, Brompton Design District’s 2025 programme celebrating design that feels, connects and softens the world around us, Landlines asks visitors to reconsider leather as a reflection of provenance, craft, and the softer strengths of empathy and attentiveness.
OTZI Studio is a team of artisans highly-skilled in traditional and modern craft. Each piece at OTZI is carefully hand-crafted for optimal aesthetic and functional satisfaction.
Otzi designs furniture using large panels of leather to highlight the beauty of the material in its truest form, and show the origin of the material as that of a once-living animal. Using leather with this transparency and consideration allows us to engage with the story of its source, increasing our awareness of the interconnections between farm, animal and product.
